Hello, and Welcome to the Triple B Angus website!!

Thanks for visiting!

Triple B Angus, located in North Central Kansas near Greenleaf,  was started in 1975 by Ernest, Armin and Roger Blanken.

The herd was started with selected females from several herds in Kansas and Nebraska.  Many of the foundation cows that survived the culling process were Wye bred females.  They were the ones that had calves every year with few problems, and they formed the base of our Angus herd.

Over the years, our cattle were strictly culled for maternal efficiency, structural soundness and eye appeal.  Our cattle were developed to have enough frame so that they would not quit growing too early,  but not so much frame that the females would become impractical.

In the last several years, we have placed a strong emphasis on carcass traits, in order to help our customers build their programs for the future.  We have ultrasounded our calves for the last several years and now have developed carcass epd's for most of our cows.  This is allowing us to build our herd for positive carcass traits much more rapidly.

Our calf crop on the ground in 2008 represents the next generation of genetics at Triple B.  Go to the herd sire page and check out the sires of next years sale bulls.
